Partner for Cameroon, Artistic Coordinator

Jules Lazare Mekontchou is from Cameroon, Dschang and has been living in Austria since 2009. He speaks French, German, some English and his native language Yemba.  

Together with Anna Oladejo and Baba Sillah, he created the vision of BaoBeach Villages, making it into an eco-lodge project in various sub-Saharan African countries. He also helped developing the intercultural trips that are part of the BaoBeach mission.  

As a trained dancer, dance teacher and performer he is responsible for the artistic coordination, e.g. dance workshops and the cultural offerings of BaoBeach Villages.  

He has many years of stage experience in dance companies and theater productions. Working for the schallundrauch agency, he has repeatedly played in award-winning plays for children at Dschungel Vienna.  

Jules Mekontchou teaches traditional and modern Afro Dance classes for children, teenagers and adults as well as Salsa classes.
